FRYE ‘Andrea’ Boot

FRYE does yet another great boot.  Even though they seem to stick to a certain motif, I must say ‘if it ain’t broken, don’t fix it.’  The front thick strap, big buckle, and round toe are a staple in the FRYE designs and defines their boots.   The mid-calf height looks great with tights and to try something a little bit different, put on a flowy mini skirt to offset the solid leather.  Because of the height and color this boot will take you from this season to the next without missing a beat.

DV by Dolce Vita ‘Flora’ Flat

Let this adorable soft gold flat warm up your rainy days.  This is not your ordinary ballet fat.  Along with its great gold finish and scrunched up siding, it gives you a different take on a bow.  And I must say the bow does it all, I love the thick straps and slightly elevated center.  This shoe is guaranteed to make all your outfits just a little bit more pretty with each wear.

Ralph Lauren ‘Mertie’ Flat

You don’t have to have a house in the Hamptons or solely shop from the J. Crew catalog to pull off the tailored ballet flat.  This two-toned flat has a feeling of sophistication, elegance and maybe come off as a bit pretentious, but the truth is, it is all in how you wear them.  I am really digging the brightness of the platinum contrasted by the dark toe and band in the back (even the gold hardware).  Sure you can wear this with your tights, and pleated mini skirt or button up shirts by why not try something a little bit different? Play up the gold hardware on the bows with lots of linky necklaces and a huge cocktail ring.  Finish your look with a pair of some skinny dark jeans and a gray t-shirt.

Dolce Vita ‘Justin’ Pump

Bring in the new year with a sexy pump like the Dolce Vita ‘Justin’ pump.  The chunky strap has been in the fashion game for quite some time and recently made its comeback in the past couple of years.  I love the thick crossing straps in the front decorated by a large brass buckle (if you have wider feet and are a bit self conscious, the wider strap will camouflage them!)  With the barely noticeable peep toe in the front and dangerously high heel in the back you will definitely want to be wearing something equally trendy and hot.

L.A.M.B ‘Tansy’ Pump

It’s always a bit worrisome that certain shoes with a narrow tall heel and a platform could look a bit… well skanky.  But there is a solution to this problem and a lot of it has to do with the material.  Gwen has paired this high heeled peep toe pump with a mixture of suede and a wooden heel.  Suede is a softer look than leather or the ever popular patent leather.  The pattern on the suede adds a feeling of fluidity and interest to the pump.  I would definitely recommend this color, it’s a bit off beat and perfect for this season.

KORS by Michael Kors ‘Tasty’ Pump

Even though it is far too cold to be wearing a peep toe pump like this where I am, for this pump I might actually save it for a warmer day.  I love metal hardware and Michael Kors has done something with this shoe that I haven’t seen before.  Remember the days of our youth when we would wear the belts that had the two metal loops we put the strap through?  Well it has been reincarnated in the ‘Tasty’ pump.  I must say that I am digging the studs and belt, as much as I am a fan of the buckle, it’s nice to know designers can still be creative.

FRYE ‘Elizabeth Criss Cross’ Boot

True, I said that I was slowly getting into mid level boots, but who can really deny a great looking boot, knee high or not?  I am constantly lusting after FRYE boots.  Not only are they great quality but they have a certain charm that is irresistible.  It combines practicality and fashion into one boot with a sort of home style flare.  Wether you are braving the snow while trying to get your holiday shopping done or pairing it with fun printed pleated skirt while at lunch with your best bud, this boot will keep you in fashion for as long as you want.
