Guest Wedding Shoes Part III: Charles David ‘Starbright’

charlesdavid-starbright

For a man who got started in the US, Charles David has definitely done wonders in the past 25 years since his first boutique opened in Hollywood next to Betsey Johnson. The ‘Starbright’ is comfort and style all in one from the label on the insole to the metal sheen of the stiletto that gives the shoe some edge. Charles D. also gets successfully creative by adding something extra to the t-strap by inlaying various sizes and types of stones into the strap. Can you see the filigree on some of them? It’s those fabulous details that give the Starbright a wonderfully ethnic look that will go with almost any dress ranging from a deep purple to even colors that aren’t on the shoe like a mint green or rose color.

Guest Wedding Shoes Part I: Stuart Weitzman ‘Archie’ Sandal

stuartweitzmen-archie.JPG

As a guest, I’d say you have the most flexibility in outfit and therefore..shoes! So with that, these next several posts will be dedicated to all the different personalities and styles of the fabulous lady guests privileging the groom and bride with their presence.

OK, allow me my soapbox for these next few sentences. Let’s be honest with each other, it’s just not right to wear a bright red dress to a wedding. You know it, I know it. A wedding is supposed to be about the marriage between a man and wife and, of course, how stunning the Bride looks. It’s not about the woman in the bright red dress (or..gasp! all white dress) grabbing the attention of everyone wherever she walks and being the first thing people look at in wedding photos. But…red shoes? Go for it! Stuart Weitzman’s “Archie” is fabulous shoe. They may not look the trendiest at first, but for some reason they look very chic vintage to me, I think it’s because it’s in an almost lipstick red snakeskin print that makes it a great shoe for the season. Or maybe it’s the cute little heal at the bottom and interlocking straps that perfectly fit together. Regardless, the Archie is a great looking shoe that has nothing wanting. Paired with a block colored peasant type dress and loosely flowing hair pulled back slightly, you will have the understated “I didn’t try too hard” (but I really did) look that is bound to get you noticed without offending.

Stuart Weitzman ‘Essential’ Flat

stuart-weitzmanl-flat.jpg

When Stuart Weitzman named this flat ‘Essential’ he wasn’t kidding around. This flat is such a pretty delicate flat with a surprising metal stud that it is irresistible! It’s soft pink color will complement all your spring and summer dresses perfectly. I think it’s about time to start changing our color palettes ladies. So break out your soft pink blush and shimmery lip gloss and be prepared to look nothing short of beautiful.

Stuart Weitzman ‘Oval’ Sandal

Greece goddess. That is the first thought that comes to mind when I see these beautiful sandals. Stuart Weitzman defeinitely hit the mark when he designed these. I love the goreous snake skin detail along with the simple but complicated strap work. This is a must have if you are in warm weather or are gearing up for the spring and summer seasons! Pair this with a light airy dress or with some dark skinny jeans and you can do no wrong.

Stuart Weitzman ‘Fever’ Pump

stuart-weitzman-fever-pump.jpg

That Stuart Weitzman sure knows how to make one sexy heel. Other then the exceptional quality this heel is like all the other patent leather pointy toe heels out there. Well..until you turn around and everyone sees this great gold heel! I love the gold heel, it’s a great accent but it also stands out (in a great way) and sure to get noticed. Be sure to get some hot gold jewelry to play up the gold heel!

Stuart Weitzman ‘Dreamgirl’ Sandal

stuart-weitzman-dreamgirl-sandal.jpg

If any of you are avid Nordstrom shoppers (like me) then you will or will be seeing this shoe in their new catalog. I’m not going to lie, I have never been a huge fan of clear plastic on shoes. However this shoe seems to make it classy (yes believe it). This heeled sandal arrives just in time for the holiday season and will sure to be the center of attention. I love the crystal accents, it’s not too ostentatious, just perfect for that little sparkle (I refuse to use the word ‘bling bling’). So I’m a big fan of simplicity, as you may have been able to tell from my taste in shoes, so be careful not to steal the focus from the shoes, these need a simple outfit with some cute complementing jewelry. Ladies it’s time to let out your inner diva.

Stuart Weitzman ‘Navigator’ Boot

stuart-weitzman-navigator-boot.jpg

So not to say ‘I told you so’…but I told you so! I was really hoping the quilted pattern on shoes would take off, and now they are. This boot is perfect for the upcoming seasons. You don’t normally see patent leather on boots, but Stuart Weitzman has found a way to bring it in and still make it stylish and cute. It is kind of a cross between a rain boot and a casual everyday boot. I am also in love with the buckle, It gives it that extra touch to make it contemporary. The quilted boot is a must have this season, especially with the patent. Pair these with some skinny dark wash jeans and I bet you will look hot and trendy. Be sure to be one of the first to jump on board, because seriously who doesn’t love showing off a new pair of boots? No worries if your not into the whole patent thing, I wrote a post earlier with Burberry quilted boots.
